Xbox today detailed its Pride celebrations, which include a $150,000 total donation to LGBTQIA+ non-profits, inclusive gear, in-game content and more.
“Team Xbox proudly supports LGBTQIA+ players during Pride month and beyond,” Katrin Hilman and Todd Bohanna, Community Co-Leads at Team Xbox LGBTQIA+, wrote. “To honor Pride, we are focusing on intersectionality and lifting up LGBTQIA+ voices across gaming. We are also highlighting stories of Team Xbox and Microsoft members, and Microsoft is making a $150,000 total donation to LGBTQIA+ nonprofits.”
The nonprofits include the likes of the ACLU Foundation, The Trevor Project, Act to Change, OutRight Action International, BEAM, and Mermaids. Those in the USA can also choose to funnel their Microsoft Rewards points to charities including The Trevor Project, OutRight Action International and the Transgender Law Centre.

Halo The Master Chief Collection launched on PC about a year and a half ago, in December 2019. It was Microsoft s first real attempt at reintroducing the franchise to PC gamers after many installments that only released on Xbox consoles.
Now, Microsoft s General Manager of Global Games Publishing and World s Edge Studio Head Shannon Loftis confirmed to PCGamesN that the game registered over 10 million players since its PC launch. She then added that most of those were actually new to the IP.
We have been kind of methodically and systematically expanding our game development capability for PC, both with our existing and established franchises and also by adding brilliant studios that focus on PC forward gaming.
And the new way to play is a custom browser.

The DualSense controller for PS5 is a major upgrade on the DualShock 4 for PS4. It s more ergonomic and made of higher quality material, but most importantly, it adds to the gaming experience with haptic feedback and trigger resistance. Microsoft had both (or something similar) with the Xbox One controller, but Sony is pushing those systems further with the DualSense.
Microsoft has kept things much the same with the new Xbox Wireless Controller. It s got a new “Share” button borrowed from DualShock 4, and a modified D-pad borrowed from Xbox Elite Controller. Unfortunately, Microsoft still doesn t offer in-built rechargeable batteries, preferring to give consumers choice (the AA batteries route), but I think that s the wrong move.
