ROCHESTER, Minn. - While we move closer to living without COVID-19 restrictions the Olmsted County Public Health Department and Mayo Clinic want to make sure we get there safely.
A big part of putting this pandemic behind us is getting vaccinated. According to Public Health Director Graham Briggs Olmsted County has already exceeded the 70% vaccination goal set by Gov. Tim Walz.
Three health priorities were highlighted in the study including financial stress, mental health, and substance abuse.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - As COVID restrictions are loosening in Minnesota the Olmsted County Public Health Department is looking deeper into the impact the pandemic has had on our community.
The Olmsted County Community Health Assessment and Planning COVID Impact Survey provides insight into disparities that we made worse during the pandemic.
The survey was done in February and March of this year and it assessed the impact COVID-19 had on Olmsted County residents.
Three health priorities were highlighted including financial stress, mental health, and substance abuse.

There was a lot of excitement, followed by a lot of disappointment.
A number of teachers in Rochester had heard they would be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine through a supply of allotments at Hy-Vee stores. An email was sent to certified staff with a subject line that said Vaccination time slots available! The email included a link to make an appointment.
