Olmsted County wraps up educator vaccinations this week

The final Olmsted County teachers and child care providers are expected to roll up their sleeves for COVID-19 vaccines this week.
“We believe, based on the doses we’ve been allocated this week, that public health is going to be able to complete offering vaccines to all child care and education staff in the county by the end of this week,” Olmsted County Public Health Director Graham Briggs told county commissioners Tuesday.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - Tomorrow marks one year since Olmsted County created its first Emergency Operations Center to begin tackling the pandemic.
On March 11th, 2020, the first positive case of COVID-19 was found in Olmsted County.
Since then, Mayo Clinic, Olmsted County, and Olmsted Medical Center have partnered together to try to fight this pandemic.
On March 23rd, 2020, Mayo Clinic partnered with Olmsted County and Olmsted Medical Center to set up the first testing site in the state at Graham Park.
Second dose of COVID-19 vaccine provided in Olmsted County mass vaccination
This weekend thousand of individuals are receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine after a mass vaccination effort a few weeks ago.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - This weekend thousand of individuals are receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine after a mass vaccination effort a few weeks ago.
During the first week of February 2,200 individuals in the state’s top priority groups came to Rochester Community Technical College to get vaccinated.
Now, those same individuals are receiving their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Friday and Saturday. All participants have been invited and registered for a time slot.
