It will be the first mass vaccination program for COVID-19 conducted by Olmsted County Public Health, which has partnered with the Olmsted Medical Center, the Mayo Clinic, Olmsted County, the City of Rochester, and Rochester Community and Technical College. About 2200 doses of the vaccine have been obtained for home health, adult foster care, group homes, E-12 school staff, clergy making community visits, childcare providers, and health professional students doing clinicals included in the Phase 1A-3 priority group.

Minnesota reports 22 more COVID-19 deaths, 2 in Olmsted County

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) The Minnesota Department of Health reported in its update on Friday that 22 more people have died from COVID-19 in the state, including two Olmsted County residents. The Olmsted County residents who died were both in their 80s, MDH said. This brings the COVID-19 death toll in the county to 81. Six of the 22 people who died were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities, health officials reported. A total of 6,273 people have died from COVID-19 in Minnesota, MDH said. The Department reported that 3,960 of those who died were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
