HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, Minn. – A Saturday night crash sends one person to the hospital in Olmsted County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened in High Forest Township around 9:47 pm. Amanda Kay Maroo, 34 of Byron, was eastbound on Highway 30 when she drove across Highway 63, through a dead end, and wound up in a ditch.
Maroo was taken to St. Marys Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Ambulance, and Stewartville Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
One person was transported by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital this afternoon following a rear-end crash near the Rochester Airport that occurred during a traffic jam that formed following a fatal incident on Highway 63.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man accused of five felony drug crimes is pleading not guilty.
James Trayon Jucaree Walker, 22 of Rochester, is charged with 1st degree sale of heroin, 2nd degree possession of heroin, 5th degree sale of drugs, and two counts of 5th degree drug possession.
Walker was first arrested on June 12 after Rochester police responded to a reported fight at the Casey’s General Store on Eastwood Road SE. Officers were told those involved in the fight had driven off and police say they later stopped a suspect vehicle that contained Walker, a pound of marijuana, and $1,660 in cash.

Law enforcement from the Olmsted County Sheriff s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol remain on scene after a person died during a medical emergency Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, along the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 63 north of Stewartville. While emergency personnel were responding to the medical emergency a secondary crash happened, and three people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Sgt. HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, Minn. – One person is sent to the hospital after an SUV and semi collide in Olmsted County.
It happened around 2:30 pm near mile marker 31 on northbound Highway 63. The Minnesota State Patrol says Gregory James Klees, 73 of Grand Meadow, was driving his semi when he collided with the SUV driven by Angel Marie Delagarza, 41 of Lime Springs, Iowa.
Delagarza suffered what is described as a non-life threatening injury and was taken to St. Marys hospital for treatment.
