Accused serial killer William Lewis Reece has been found guilty of murder for the first time since a series of young girls were murdered in Texas and Oklahoma in 1997. It took an Oklahoma jury less than 2 hours to find Reece guilty of the murder of Tiffany Johnston in the town of Bethany.

Putnam City campus police opened an investigation after a loaded gun was found last Tuesday in a high school bathroom. A parent found the weapon during a recent school event, according to the police report.
The gun was turned over to a campus police officer. The owner of the gun was identified, and police said could face a criminal charge of reckless endangerment.
Last week, a parent at a middle school football game held at Putnam City North High School made a startling discovery. Campus police working the game met up with the parent who was holding a gun, wrapped in a blanket.

Sixteen dogs are moving to animal shelters and foster homes after they were seized from a Warr Acres home. The previous owner told News 9 he denies police reports that say his home was in disarray when officers searched the property.
“Very happy and healthy. There was nothing wrong with these animals at all,” said Sean Jones, the previous owner.
The police report said the Warr Acres Animal Control Officer, Carlos Sotelo, requested a search warrant in late February after a neighbor of Jones said there was a dead dog in his backyard. Officers searched the home and Jones later surrendered the 16 dogs.

Murder charges have been dropped against a teenager accused of involvement in a robbery that led to the police shooting death of 15-year-old Stavian Rodriguez in November.
However, 17-year-old Wyatt Cheatham will plead guilty to robbery with a firearm, as an adult, with a sentence of eight years in prison and seven years of probation, according to the Oklahoma County District Attorney s office. Cheatham was initially charged with first-degree murder, as a juvenile, and robbery with a firearm.
Rodriguez died Nov. 23 after officers were called to a robbery in progress at the Okie Gas & Express store, located in the 7900 block of South Western Avenue in Oklahoma City. According to police, Rodriguez did not follow the commands of the police officers on scene. Multiple officers discharged their weapons, which resulted in (Rodriguez s) death.
