Faced with a frustrating scheduling system and appointments that get filled nearly as quickly as they re posted, some large companies are bringing the vaccine directly to the workplace.
In partnership with the OKC-County Health Department and private clinics Passport Health and Total Wellness, several Oklahoma City-area employers have begun offering COVID-19 shots to their employees. It s seen as a way to streamline the process and get the workforce back to full productivity more quickly. On-site clinics are generally limited to companies with 100 or more employees. If you ve been on (the state s) portal and tried to get a slot, it s a hurdle. We just wanted to make sure that we were able to put that in our team members hands and make it convenient for them, said Cindy Bishop, vice president for team member services at Jasco Products Co., an Oklahoma City-based home electronics manufacturing and distribution company.

An Oklahoma City-area woman faces four charges in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the United States Capitol, according to federal documents.
Danielle Nicole Doyle faces charges of knowingly entering a restricted area without lawful authority, engaging in disruptive or disorderly conduct and two counts of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
Federal agents were tipped off to Doyle s presence inside the Capitol by a former colleague with a professional sports team, believed to be the Oklahoma City Thunder:

Many Oklahoma health care facilities run by either or both the Indian Health Service and individual tribes have begun greatly expanding eligibility for COVID-19 vaccine appointments, including for non-Native household members and caregivers of tribal citizens. All Oklahoma City Area federal facilities have vaccine appointments available for eligible American Indians and Alaskan Natives, as well as their non-Native household members and caregivers, who are 16 years of age and older, the IHS Oklahoma City Area, which covers all of Oklahoma and Kansas, announced Thursday.
Those facilities include the Pawnee Indian Health Service, Wewoka Indian Health Service and Claremore Indian Hospital, among others. (Wewoka and Claremore have set 18 as their minimum age.)
