The six-track EP is a blend of what some might call hip-hop, reggae, Afrobeat and R&B. Queen Iminah simply calls it melanated music. Or better yet, born-again African soul.
Just by looking at the EP s featured artists Ghana s Yaa Pono, Brooklyn s Jahdan Blakkamoore (originally from Guyana), and Oakland s D’wayne Wiggins a common thread emerges of the African diaspora. That theme carries over to the recording process, which occurred in studios in Ghana, Nigeria, Brooklyn and Oakland.

LOS GATOS, Calif. - Exactly a week after the regional stay-at-home order was lifted, students will be heading back to the classroom in Los Gatos.
Starting Monday, the Los Gatos Unified School District will bring students in kindergarten through third grade back to in-classroom learning, followed by grades 4-6 on Feb. 8.

According to numbers provided by the National Center for Education Services, California is expected to see a decrease of three percent in public elementary and secondary school enrollment from 2017-2029. The state expected to see the largest drop in enrollment is New Mexico with a projected 12 percent decrease, while Washington D.C. is projected to see a 14 percent increase over the same time period.
