A man’s dog was taken away after he allegedly hurled racial slurs at an Oakland County sheriff’s deputy in the South Lyon High School parking lot along North Lafayette Street.
High school staff members told the school resource deputy close to 1 p.m. April 27 that a suspicious vehicle had been in the staff parking lot for about two hours, according to deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff s Office.
The vehicle apparently had been in an accident and was occupied by a man and a dog. Police said the man told the deputy that he was waiting for a tow truck because his vehicle had a flat tire along with some body damage.
