Upset over a delayed flight, a passenger at Oakland International Airport on Sunday told airline employees that he had a bomb in his bag prompting one of the airport’s two terminals to be evacuated.
Oakland airport 1st in nation to sell COVID kits in vending machines

OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland International Airport on Monday announced that it is the first airport in the United States to begin selling COVID test kits in vending machines.
In a statement, the airport said that these contactless kiosks are located at both airport terminals.
The vending machines are selling kits called At-Home Saliva RT-PCT tests. Customers take the test on their own and then return saliva samples via FedEx. They ll get their results on a mobile phone app within 24 hours, said airport spokesman Robert Bernardo.

Oakland International Airport on Wednesday became the first airport in the nation to begin selling COVID-19 tests from vending machines.
The testing option may offer a bit of hope for an industry that has been trying to reinstall passenger confidence ever since the virus decimated travel.
The take-home Saliva RT-PCT tests can be found at contactless kiosks located within both of the airport s terminals, airport officials announced Wednesday.
Customers must take the test on their own and return a saliva sample by FedEx. Customers will then receive the results through a mobile app, officials said.
