3/14/21 Iowa City Police say a suspected drug dealer claimed he needed the money to pay for an upcoming move. 53-year-old Ken Greene of Boston Way was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Iowa City Police pulled Greene over near the corner of Muscatine Avenue and Arthur Street just before 3:45 Saturday afternoon for driving a 2007 Chevy Impala without license plates. He was arrested for Driving While Barred. Greene was wanted for a separate incident last month. Police say he was also pulled over at Highway 6 East and Keokuk Street just after 9:45 on February 6 th for a traffic violation and for not having any plates on his 2006 Buick Rendezvous. He was also arrested for Driving While Barred during that traffic stop, and a search of his vehicle allegedly turned up a digital scale with white residue, five baggies of meth, a baggie of marijuana, and approximately $160 in cash.
