The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State Command, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, has ordered the immediate deployment of the Command’s operational and intelligence assets to identify and apprehend the yet to be identified gunmen, who violently attacked and set ablaze Adani Police Station on Wednesday.
DAILY POST recalls that at about 2.30am unknown gunmen attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters, Adani in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Reacting, Aliyu during a visit to the Station, alongside Heads of Sister Security Agencies in the State, confirmed that two of the police officers on duty have died.

The Oyo State Police Command, on Tuesday, said that two suspects have been arrested in connection with various forms of criminal activities in Ibadan, the state capital.
The command made this disclosure via a statement made available to DAILY POST by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adewale Osifeso.
Osifeso said the suspects were arrested by a patrol team attached to Agodi Area Command.
He maintained that the suspects included Sunday Victor and Samson Suarez.
He added that they were arrested around Bodija Oju-Irin Area of Ibadan.
The duo suspected to be cultists and members of an armed robbery syndicate has been on the radar of the Command for quite a while until their apprehension on 17th April, 2021, DAILY POST gathered.

Facts have emerged on how some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed Ibadan and other major cities in Oyo State to kidnap no fewer than fifteen (15) people.
DAILY POST reports that no fewer than fifteen (15) residents of the state have been kidnapped in the last one month.
Our correspondent recalls that the victims were kidnapped at different locations in Ibadan and other cities, including Fiditi town.
Majority of those kidnapped were abducted in Oluyole local government area in Ibadan, which falls under the Oyo Central District currently represented by Senator Teslim Folarin (APC).
Oluyole Federal Constituency is currently being represented by Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe (APC).

Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command, on Friday, rescued three kidnapped victims who were abducted by gunmen at Onipe Village, along Ijebu-Ode-Ibadan road on Monday.
It would be recalled that the women, identified as Mrs Okeowo, Mrs. Abosede Adebayo, and Mrs Bola Ogunrinde., were abducted by gunmen around the Onipe community of Oyo State on Monday, April 12
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the rescue of the abductees in a statement issued on Friday and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
Osifeso said that the rescue was made possible as a result of pressure and intelligence from the Police along with effective utilization of local hunters and vigilantes under the supervision of the Police.
