Police charge teens after police pursuit at Dubbo

Two teenagers have been charged following a police pursuit in Dubbo overnight. About 6.30pm (Sunday 25 July 2021), officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District responded to reports a white Toyota Camry had been stolen from an address on Wingewarra Street, Dubbo. Police conducted a canvass of the area and located the vehicle on Websdale Drive. Officers indicated for the driver to stop; however, the vehicle drove away from police and a pursuit was initiated. A short time later, the Camry collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Taylor and Tamworth streets, causing both vehicles to come to stop. The occupant of the second vehicle, a 79-year-old man, was treated at the scene for multiple injuries. He was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

About 5.30am (Sunday 25 July 2021), a 63-year-old man was asleep in his vehicle at the corner of Meryula and Terangion streets, Narromine, when he was approached by two men, not known to him. It is alleged the men pulled the man from the vehicle and assaulted him, before stealing his wallet and driving away. The red Holden Commodore utility bearing NSW registration CZ28HU was last seen travelling west along Terangion Street.

Date Time Police seek information after jewellery store thefts – Western Region Police are appealing for information and have now released CCTV as investigations continue into two jewellery store thefts in the state’s west earlier this month. Shortly after 11pm on Saturday 3 July 2021, police were called to a business on Summer Street, Orange, after reports entry had been forced into a jewellery store. CCTV footage depicts two unknown males smashing several glass display counters and taking a large quantity of jewellery. The two males fled the scene in a silver Kia Motor Sportage hatchback, which had been reported stolen. Officers attached to Central West Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
