MYSTERY: Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People A MYSTERY donor turned secret Santa after making a substantial donation to a Bury charity. Staff at Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted on Tenterden Street were amazed to discover someone had made the gift just before Christmas. The charity, which was founded in 1922, provides a variety of services which aim to enhance the quality of life for all visually impaired people within Bury. It wasn’t until 1994 that the Society became established with premises, staff, volunteers, a committee and trustees. CEO, Jill Logan said: Covid-19 has made everyone’s lives challenging this year, but Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People has been working hard to support people living with the addition of sight loss
