Babangida, Secondus, ACF Console Adeboye over Son s Death

Chuks Okocha in Abuja and John Shiklam in Kaduna Former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd); National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) have commiserated with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye over the death of his son, Pastor Dare. The Federal Executive Council (FEC); Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha and Secondus have also consoled the Taraba State Governor, Mr. Darius Ishaku on the death of the former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Aisha Al-Hassan. In a statement he issued yesterday, Babangida said that it was with a heavy heart that he conveyed his condolence message to the RCCG general overseer over the death.

May Dare Adeboye rest in peace - Sunday Igboho makes u-turn

Popular Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, (aka Sunday Igboho) has made a u-turn, praying that the soul of Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s son, Dare rests in peace. DAILY POST reports that Sunday Igboho, during a live Facebook video with Olayomi Koiki on Saturday, refused to sympathise with Pastor Adeboye when he was told to do so. He said the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God would not be commiserated with because he does not support the Yoruba nation. Igboho did not mince words when he rained curses on any leader or Pastor who refuses to support the secession agenda, saying God will kill their children and wives.

The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), yesterday, urged the Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday ‘Igboho’, to mind his utterances on leaders and men of God who are not in support of agitation for Oduduwa nation. Adeyemo, in a viral video, had said he would not commiserate with Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) over the demise of his son, Pastor Dare. Igboho went further to heap curses on Yoruba leaders and men of God who are not supporting the agitation for an independent Yoruba state. Reacting, however, YCE, through its Secretary-General, Dr. Kunle Olajide, urged the freedom fighter to thread softly in his agitation.

Adeboye The family of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the world-renowned general overseer of the Nigeria-based Redeemed Christian Church of God, is now grieving after the sudden death of the megachurch leader’s third child, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, on Tuesday. “It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss, we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye. Who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021,” the church announced in a statement Thursday. Oluwadamilare, who was 42 when he died, was also a pastor like his father, who was named one of the world s 50 most powerful people in 2008 by Newsweek. According to This Today, the younger Adeboye was one of the regional youth pastors in RCCG serving in Eket, Akwa-Ibom.

Dare Adeboye was A Symbol of Future Christian Ministry, Says Osinbajo

By Deji Elumoye Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has described Pastor Dare Adeboye, the late son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as a symbol of future Christian ministry in the country. Osinbajo, in a statement on Monday by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, stated this in a tribute delivered on his behalf by Pastor Bisi Akande at a service of songs held for the deceased at the Redemption Camp, Mowe, Ogun State. According to him, Pastor Dare was in many ways, a representative of the future of Christian ministry, “a new generation birthed in a period of great turbulence in ideas and doctrines, a surfeit of distractions, but committed to ensuring that the unvarnished gospel is preached to that generation”.
