The Redeemed Christian Church of God will on Sunday begin the funeral rites for late Pastor Dare Adeboye, the son of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Dare died in his sleep on Tuesday at Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was a youth pastor.
He was aged 42.
A statement by the church signed by Leke Adeboye, the younger brother of the deceased, said a special service would be held on Sunday, May 9, at the City of David Youth Church in Eket, Akwa Ibom.
The statement said thanksgiving songs and tribute would be held on Monday, May 10, between 4pm and 6pm, at the RCCG House of Favour, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has “sent a message of condolence to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, whose son, Dare Adeboye, died in his sleep on Tuesday, 4
th May, 2021″.
In a statement obtained by TNC on Saturday, the Islamic human rights organisation described the death of Dare Adeboye as a test of faith for his father and his followers. The statement was signed by MURIC’s director, Professor Ishaq Akintola.
The statement reads:
“We are deeply touched by the death of Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s son, Dare Adeboye, at 42. But we know that it will pass. This is a trial to test the faith of Pastor Adeboye, his family members and his followers. We must be strong in tribulation. We must not be shaken because it is written that we may have to suffer various trials (I Peter 1:6).

According to the clergyman, God appears to him saying he has heard the nation’s cry and all the doom will come to an end.
Prophet Jeremiah explained that he appeared before the High Court of Ogun State, and his bail was revoked by the Chief Judge explaining that the judgment makes him worried but he heard a voice telling him that he must go through the process.

The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Folu Adeboye, says Nigeria is going through a siege, and believers should weep in prayer for the country.
Also known as Mother-In-Israel, Mrs Adeboye, who has been married to Pastor Enoch Adeboye for over 50 years, on Friday night, led prayers for Nigeria on Friday night.
