JACKSON TWP. The Ohio Auditor s East Regional Office has relocated to the Conference Center on the Kent State University Stark campus.
The state agency had been using offices in the former Chase Bank tower at 101 Central Plaza S. in downtown Canton.
Ohio Auditor Keith Faber said the move means the agency will be paying lower rent. The $42,856 annual rent is more than $8,000 in savings, a spokeswoman for Faber said in an email.
“This is an exciting move for our office for many reasons, especially the cost savings and opportunities for recruitment with Kent State students and community members,” Faber said in a press release. “I hope we can see more of these types of partnerships among state institutions to save taxpayer dollars and increase public engagement with state operations.”
