Prosecutors Office Dropping Case Management System
MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio-The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office spoke with county officials about dropping their current case management system manager.
Prosecutors were deeply dissatisfied with the amount of progress made by their current case management system. They felt that many promises made to them were not kept.
“A case management system allows for the courts, the prosecutor’s office, and law enforcement to maintain a straight line of streaming of information from one resource to another. So the officers on the street, the information they take in and create a case file with would then be passed to the prosecutor’s office and then that information is passed to the court once a criminal indictment is filed. That allows for a single act of data entry as opposed to multiple acts of data entry.”, prosecutor Ron Welch explained.
