Akron Children’s Hospital on Tuesday announced that vaccination clinics for kids 12 and up are open at its Akron and Boardman campuses. Over the next couple of weeks, the hospital will offer the vaccine at select primary care offices in its 20-county service area, at its urgent care locations, and at drive-through clinics.

COLUMBUS, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday signed legislation directing $465 million in federal coronavirus aid to help lower-income Ohioans hurt by the coronavirus pandemic to pay rent and utilities.
House Bill 167, which passed the legislature without opposition, also offers $100 million in coronavirus aid to the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
Ohioans who, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, are facing eviction or having trouble making utility payments should contact their local community action agency about getting financial help from the new law, said DeWine, a Greene County Republican. Increased traffic enforcement for high school proms
MARION - Marion County Sheriff Matt Bayles has announced his office will be participating in a countywide traffic detail targeting speed and alcohol related violations for the upcoming high school proms. Deputies will be conducting extra traffic enforcement and patrol now through May 21.
In an effort to ensure the safety of the motoring public, the sheriff’s office will be enforcing a zero tolerance policy on speeding, drunk driving and seatbelt violations. Marion County residents are urged to obey traffic laws to ensure a safe and enjoyable prom season.
