The Ohio State University at Lima names Rudd Scholars
LIMA Five soon-to-be Buckeyes will receive full- or half-tuition scholarships from The Ohio State University at Lima. The awards to incoming freshmen were made possible by a generous gift by Arthur and Marian Rudd.
The full-tuition winner is Peyton Moyler, Bath High School. Half-tuition winners are Agapé Anderson, homeschooled of Findlay; Jonah Cook, Perrysburg High School; Jared Grieser, Tinora High School; and Emily Marks, Delphos Jefferson.
The Arthur and Marian Rudd Scholarship Fund provides full- and half-tuition scholarships each year to students for whom such an award will make a significant financial difference. The scholarships are renewable for four years. At current tuition levels, the full scholarship will be worth about $8,562 per year and $34,248 over the life of the scholarship.
Lima introduces first Poet Laureate

LIMA The Lima City Council, in partnership with Art/Space Lima, introduced the first official poet laureate in city history at their council meeting on Monday night. Lima tapped longtime resident and educator Timothy Cheeseman to be the city’s leader for creative writing and poetry going forward.
Cheeseman is currently the director of the Learning Center at The Ohio State University at Lima. His career in the Lima area began in 1997 when he became an English teacher at Shawnee High School, a position that he held for 22 years. He has also served as a professor at Ohio Northern University, Bluffton University, Tiffin University, Rhodes State College and Ohio State.
