COLUMBUS, Ohio A man is in custody after allegedly shooting at Franklin County deputies early Tuesday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff s Office.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Hilton Avenue at Alpine Village Apartments.
A spokesperson with the Franklin County Sheriff s Office told 10TV that deputies received a call about a suspicious person who was at the apartment complex.
A man was climbing on a fire escape looking into residents windows. When deputies arrived, they noticed a man sitting in a vehicle, as they approached the SUV the man inside reportedly started shooting at the deputies.
No serious injuries were reported after Franklin County Sheriff s office deputies exchanged gunfire with a man early Tuesday morning in Prairie Township.
The incident happened at an apartment complex on the 4600 block of Hilton Avenue in western Franklin County around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff s office said deputies had approached a man in an SUV after being called to investigate a man reported to have been climbing fire escape ladders and looking into windows.
When the deputies approached, the man in the SUV began firing at deputies. Three deputies returned fire. The man was eventually taken into custody.
It is not known if the man in the SUV is related to the initial call that brought deputies to the apartment complex.

BETHLEHEM TWP. The Stark County Coroner s Office has confirmed the identity of the victim of a fatal fire in February as 18-year-old Chase Rogers.
Investigator Rick Walters said identification was confirmed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation through DNA.
Rogers, who had a bedroom in the basement of the home, became trapped in the lower level when a fire broke out at his family s home at 10216 Erie Ave. SW at 1:28 a.m. Feb. 28, investigators said.
Two adults escaped from the burning home and tried to rescue the victim but were turned back by the flames, officials said.
