Ohio gun activists postpone rally backing Columbus police officer who shot Ma Khia Bryant
COLUMBUS – An Ohio Gun Owners rally to honor the Columbus police officer who fatally shot 16-year-old Ma Khia Bryant has been postponed.
The Saturday event was slated to feature Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, known as a Republican extremist for backing QAnon conspiracy theories, and Ohio Senate candidate Josh Mandel, among others. Attendees were expected to openly carry firearms, which is legal in Ohio.
The rally was being hosted by Chris Dorr, a no-compromise gun activist whose family was also behind protests of COVID-19 shutdowns across the nation. Dorr planned to honor Columbus police officer Nicholas Reardon, who shot Bryant on April 20 on Columbus Southeast side.
