Ohio is among the states that is stepping into the breech, offering a new round of grants to restaurants, bars and other businesses affected by the pandemic, the Times says. But, as the paper notes, there is a limit to what states can do. The pandemic has ravaged budgets, driving up costs and eroding tax revenues. And unlike the federal government, most states cannot run budget deficits.

OSHA Renews Safety Alliance With Ohio Craft Breweries -- Occupational Health & Safety

OSHA will continue to work with craft breweries in Ohio to promote worker safety. By Nikki Johnson-Bolden Dec 10, 2020 OSHA renewed its two-year alliance with organizations that represent Ohio craft breweries to improve workplace safety in the industry on December 7. OSHA is in alliance with the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, Brewers Association, Master Brewers Association of the Americas District Midwest and Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation. The purpose of the alliance is to foster programs that educate workers on possible hazards in breweries and the proper way to store, package and handle craft beer. “OSHA is pleased to renew this alliance focused on sharing best practices and training and education both employers and workers in the growing craft brewery business to operate and work safely,” said Larry Johnson, OSHA Area Director in Columbus, Ohio.
