State health releases Friday, Saturday numbers
COLUMBUS, Ohioâ The stateâs two-day total of positive coronavirus cases was 11,018, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
This number captures reported positive cases from Dec. 25 and Saturday. The daily average for cases reported for the past seven days is 7,177 cases.
The data compiled by ODH also shows 20 deaths and 168 new hospitalizations were reported during this two-day period. The daily average for deaths reported for the past seven days is 64. The daily average for hospitalizations reported during the past seven days is 280.

COLUMBUS Agents visited the following liquor-permitted establishments and issued citations after witnessing violations:
Raymond T. Sizemore LLC., known as The Village Inn Bar, Utica, received a citation for improper conduct â disorderly activity, as a result of the lack of social distancing and curfew violations. Agents received a complaint from Utica Police Department, who have been called to the establishment numerous times after 10 p.m. Agents entered the establishment at 10:45 p.m. and observed approximately 10 people not wearing masks and most of them were consuming or holding beers.
K Kids Inc., known as The Deck Lounge, Eastlake, was cited for improper conduct â disorderly activities. Agents entered the establishment at 8:20 p.m. and observed approximately 60 people. HOWLAND The Ohio Investigative Unit, which is part of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, cited The Rig, 9421 E. Market St., after witnessing a lack of social distancing and a curfew violation, the law-enforcement organization reported.
Agents visited the facility at 10:25 p.m., though the OIU did not give the date in the news release. Investigators found The Rig to be open with about 100 patrons inside.
They were “shoulder to shoulder throughout the establishment with no social-distancing measures in place,” according to the release.
A person who answered the phone at the bar Saturday evening said he did not wish to comment on the matter.

MJK Tavern Inc., known as Around the Corner, Lakewood, received a citation for improper conduct – disorderly activity. Agents visited the establishment at 8:55 p.m. and observed egregious violations throughout the patio and in a separate building (all part of the liquor permit premises). Patrons were closely congregated throughout those areas with a lack of social distancing and physical barriers between groups of patrons.
