Monday, February 1st 2021, 6:57 am By: Colby Thelen OU Health is updating its visitation policy at hospitals and clinics to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.  The hospital system says the changes are in response to, changing dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic related to hospitalizations. Part of the new policy allows only one essential caregiver to accompany patients at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City and OU Health Edmond Medical Center. An essential caregiver is described as a person critical to helping the patient reach care imperatives.  Those caregivers are also required to follow certain procedures upon arrival.
