The Colchester Outdoor Film and Street Food Festival is a collaboration between Colchester Events and Pop-Up Pictures. Taking place this August, there will be 12 classic movies as well as a pop-up street food market with flavours from across the globe. The market line-up includes favourites like The Flag Burger, Cowabunga Pizza, Mauritian Nutrition, Sweet P’s BBQ & soul food, Suffolk Spice Fusion as well as Obscene Waffles and Ravenous Fudge. Movies will be screened day and night on the large LED screen in the park.

Two for one and all-day passes are set to be available. James Young, the Operations Manager of Events at Colchester Amphora Trading Ltd, said: “We are excited about the film and street food festival happening in August. “The great thing about it is the street food and that the park provides sufficient space for people. “It’s a good event if you want to get your confidence back again after the past year. “People’s wellbeing and safety comes first, but as we approach the summer season we should be optimistic about events. “We will continue to follow the Government’s guidelines.”

MATTAPOISETT For its spring production, the Old Rochester Regional High School Drama Club will present a new original full-length movie:
Macbeth - An Outdoor Film Event.
The tragedy of Macbeth will come to life on the big screen on Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22 at the ORRHS Softball Field.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for an 8:30 p.m. showtime.
Guests should bring lawn chairs, blankets and an extra layer of clothing to stay cozy, and are asked to remain in their “pods” or physically distanced groups throughout the show.
Refreshments will be available for a cash donation in the concession area. There will be no indoor access, although a Port-a-John will be on site.
