Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh today called for the "jointness" of three defence forces, saying that it is far more important in today's changing nature of war than it was in the past.
The Navy chief said that the armed forces are seeing landmark defence reforms with the establishment of Department of Military Affairs, institution of Chief of Defence Staff and theatre of commands.
"The nature of war is changing and it is important to engage in all adversaries in all domains, like land, sea, air, space and cyber. It is for this reason that the jointness amongst the three services is far more important than in the past, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh said.
Naval Chief Admiral Karambir Singh called NDA a symbol of jointness for 72 years and remarked that the academy's existence enforces the core values of jointmanship.
