Holiday Bonus: Anonymous Donor Gives $6,000 To Summit County Sheriff s Office

Last week, a cardboard box filled with 120 envelopes each containing $50 was dropped off at the Summit County Sheriff’s Office with instructions to give each staff member one of them Before the deputy could ask for their name – they were gone. “I mean literally it was, it was, here you go,” Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez said. “The chief deputy asked what this for the individuals is explained what was for before they could before he could get a name. They said thank you and have a good day and they left.”

Woman Arrested, More Than Once, For Actions Against Ex-Boyfriend In Kamas

Credit Summit County Sheriff s Office A Salt Lake woman has been charged by the Summit County Attorney’s Office after allegedly ramming her ex-boyfriend with her car.   The woman has since been arrested for another incident at her ex’s home in South Summit. A charge of Aggravated Assault, a Third Degree Felony, was filed against 49-year-old Judith Stacy Cluff. A Sheriff’s report said that Cluff was in a relationship with the victim, a 57-year-old Kamas resident, until he evicted her about six months ago. The victim said that on Dec. 4th, she showed up uninvited at his home near State Road 32 in order to pick up some items.    He said he helped her move the items, hoping to get her out of his life.    The suspect became upset, yelled profanities, and threw a soda can at a friend of the victim.

Sheriff s Office Reports Conflicts Over Covid

Summit County Sheriff deputies responded recently to a couple of altercations prompted by Covid protocols. Officers also were called about a crowded drinking party, mostly made up of underage juveniles. The Sheriff’s incident report had details of two different Covid-conflict cases, both occurring at the Canyons Resort near the Cabriolet. On the morning of the 4th, a 57-year-old Canyons employee said he was working near the top of the lift, when he observed a man with a tape measuring the concrete walk area. When the employee approached him, the suspect pushed him in the chest with an open hand, saying he was checking on social distancing.
