Subscriber only A motorbike crash has stolen a caring dad away from his baby girl after he died in a Noosa tragedy. Jesse Carsburg left behind his beautiful little girl when he died at Sunrise Beach on Sunday night after hitting a barrier. The 26 year old, from Urangan, is being remembered as loyal and caring. Long-time friend Becky Taylor said she felt like her heart had been ripped out after learning of the death of Mr Carsburg. She said he was like an older brother . He was the most beautiful and caring person in the world, Ms Taylor said.
Sunshine Coast police officer Senior Sergeant Scott Wiggins at the Bruce Highway checkpoint to prevent Brisbane residents from reaching the region. Sunshine Coast District Superintendent Craig Hawkins said the high-tech surveillance gear was effective and that the message was working. The roads have been really quiet, Supt Hawkins said. A quiet, consistent day so the message is getting through. Supt Hawkins said 73 vehicles were pulled over in total since the curfew was put in place and it had resulted in six vehicles being turned away and one fine issued. We issued one ticket for failure to comply with Chief Health Officer directions, he said.

There was a mass exodus on the Bruce Highway on Friday as residents attempted to escape greater Brisbane before the 6pm curfew was put in place by Queensland Health. Brisbane s three-day lockdown came after a hotel cleaner was found to be carrying the highly contagious UK strain of the virus. Sunshine Coast police have sent up checkpoints on the Bruce Highway to prevent Brisbane residents coming to the region, however, local medical experts are concerned it may be too late.
