KARACHI (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi and Chief Minister of Sindh have penned letters to Prime Minister after a verbal clash in Karachi Transformation Plan meeting earlier this month.
Ali Zaidi, in a series of tweets on Saturday, presented his side of the story and said that during a meeting on January 16, he requested CM Sindh to include the devolution of organizations like SBCA and SWWMB to divisional levels as committed by him months ago.

ISLAMABAD:
The port authorities of Gwadar, Karachi and Qasim would establish ferry terminals replicating all the operation facilities related to security, immigration and customs of any international airport country in collaboration with other ministries concerned.
This was the crux of the maritime affairs ministry meeting, which was held on Wednesday to review progress on the commencement of ferry service to all possible destinations across the world, according to a press release.

ISLAMABAD: As Prime Minister Imran Khan paid the much-demanded visit to Quetta to express solidarity with the bereaved families of the slain Hazara workers on Saturday, a tweet of one of his spokespersons Nadeem Afzal Chan hours before the visit is believed to be quite “meaningful” as it reflects divergent views within the ruling party on the premier’s stance.
The PM’s spokesperson in the tweet on Friday night stated: “Helpless and innocent bodies of slain coal miners, I am ashamed.”

ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet on Wednesday approved additional import of more than 250,000 tonnes of wheat for buffer stock ahead of the fresh crop produce in April and allowed removal of duty on 152 tariff lines.
The meeting of the ECC presided over by Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh also cleared about Rs2.7 billion worth of supplementary grants.
On a summary regarding provision of additional quantities of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Utility Stores Corporation (USC), the additional secretary of the Ministry of National Food Security and Research gave a detailed presentation about the availability of wheat stocks across the country and sought permission for additional imports.
