A 2021 grad at Arkansas High School has earned the highest grade point average in the school’s history. Valedictorian Nicholas Watson is finishing his high school career with a 4.8 GPA. He has been accepted to 45 universities and received over $1.5-million in scholarship offers and has decided to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

N.C. State Extension announced that Anika Parks is completing an extension internship this summer with the Forsyth County Center.
An extension summer intern works with extension personnel to deliver hands-on, educational programs. Job shadowing and mentoring help interns learn about the mission and work of North Carolina Cooperative Extension.

Historic Körnerâs Folly, 413 S. Main St. in Kernersville presents Plein Air Painting from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 19.
