Thirty-seven selfish pricks on ANZAC day, South Australia
Over the 24-hour ANZAC day period, police detected 37 drivers either over the legal blood alcohol limit or under the influence of drugs.
From 7am on Sunday 25 April to 7am Monday 26 April, police conducted 5,344 alcotests with 20 positives recorded (.39%). Nineteen of the offenders were men between the ages of 20 and 67 years. One woman was also caught over the limit.
During the same period, 63 drug tests were conducted with 16 drivers returning a positive result (25.4%) to either Methamphetamine or THC. Nine of the offenders were men between the ages of 25 and 54 years and seven were women aged 18 – 61 years.
