Buildings As Safe Havens (BASH) certification will provide common demystified standard
HVAC body BESA is working with air monitoring companies in a bid to establish an IAQ standard for buildings that will enable them to be measured and certified.
Graeme Fox, BESA’s Head of Technical said that the BASH (Building As Safe Havens) certification was a bid to provide clarification for building owners and operators in the midst of a plethora of options. He said: “What do you define as safe? You can monitor for all kinds of things, but the more elements you monitor, the more expensive it gets and the more potential for confusion.”
