Change of Plea Hearing
Last fall, 58-year-old Michael Schutt was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance to a Minor; Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Marijuana. Two co-defendants were also charged in the case, Meagan Crone and Donald Brower. The crimes occurred last year on October 3rd and 4th. During a search of Schutt’s home, law enforcement seized approximately a pound of marijuana, various drug paraphernalia items and a large amount of cash.
Schutt, at Tuesday’s hearing, pleaded “guilty” to all three of the charges as part of a plea agreement that was reached with the State. The plea deal recommends a prison sentence of 3 to 6 years for each charge, suspended, in lieu of a 120-day split sentence and three years of supervised probation. Two men that were arrested for transporting heroin from Denver, Colorado to Montana were sentenced this week in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. For the charges of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance- Heroin, and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Heroin, District Court Judge John Fenn sentenced 25-year-old Robert Kenitzer to 2 ½ to 4 years in prison, suspended in lieu of a 300 day split-sentence and three years of supervised probation. Kenitzer was given 194 days of credit for time served and ordered to pay $1,075 in various court costs and attorney fees.
Judge Fenn sentenced 26-year-old David Osteen to 4 to 7 years in prison for the charges of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance- Heroin, and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Heroin. The prison sentence is suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation. Osteen was ordered to pay $985 in various court costs and attorney fees.
Danbury Police Arrest Two Brothers for Drug Offenses Written by Danbury Police Dept.
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, two brothers, Terrel and Terrance Little, were arrested for a variety of drug offenses by the Danbury Police Department. The arrest followed the execution of several search and seizure warrants issued for their apartment a car and the person of Terrel. The warrants were issued incident to an investigation, which began weeks earlier, after receiving citizen complaints related to Terrel selling illicit drugs from the residence and throughout the Danbury area.
