The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Wednesday afternoon:
On Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at approximately 5:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of 1
st Street regarding a suspicious person. The address is known to officers due to repeated calls from the resident – 50-year-old Robert Calbert Walker. On this occasion, a neighbor phoned police stating that Walker was on his front porch covered in blood.
Officer Zachary Davis and other officers arrived and located Walker lying on his front porch holding a puppy. It appeared that Walker had dumped his trash can onto the porch and chose to sit in the waste. Officer Davis also observed an obvious open wound to Walker’s forehead and other lacerations to his face. Walker refused to believe that the officers were real and would crawl away from them when they got closer to his porch. Walker was continually yelling and cursing and appeared to be under the influence of an illegal subs

Westport Police Receive Report from Local Pharmacy, Individual Attempting to Obtain Illegal Prescription Medications Written by Westport Police
On April 19, 2021 at approximately 12:15 p.m., the Westport Police Detective Bureau received a report from a local pharmacy stating that an unknown individual was allegedly attempting to illegally obtain prescription medications. The complainant stated that the business received a request via phone to fill two prescriptions. Upon calling the prescribing doctor to verify whether the prescriptions were valid it was learned that the doctor did not prescribe the medications in question.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., two individuals arrived at the pharmacy to retrieve the medications and were subsequently detained by the investigating detectives. They were identified as Christopher Estrella and Isa Hills.

Credit New Mexico State Police HOBBS - On Thursday, April 15, 2021, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was called to investigate an Officer Involved Shooting near 537 East Navajo Drive in Hobbs, NM involving the New Mexico State Police. The State Police officer was uninjured, and the suspect fled on foot.
Agents learned that on April 15, 2021, at around 8:20 p.m., New Mexico State Police Officer Hector Baca was on patrol in Hobbs. He initiated a traffic stop on a Chrysler passenger vehicle on East Navajo Drive for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a male passenger, later identified as Victor Ruben Ignacio Flores, 27, of Hobbs, fled on foot. Officer Baca gave chase and a foot pursuit ensued.
