Finally, the proposal seeks to amends section 229 of the IRPR, giving the ID authority to issue removal orders for inadmissibility for offences committed on entry that are not listed in the proposed amendments to 228.

Police in Cochrane seized a street-value of $80,000 of drugs and arrested two Toronto-area residents with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Canadian show jumper Nicole Walker s appeal of a doping violation has been denied by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The Canadian show jumping team s disqualification from the 2019 Pan American Games stands, which means Canada won t have a team in the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Canada finished fourth in the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru to qualify for Tokyo, but the disqualification of Walker s scores dropped the team to seventh.
Walker tested positive for a cocaine metabolite, which the 27-year-old from Aurora, Ont., says she inadvertently ingested by drinking coca tea.
Canada will be able to enter just one horse and rider in the individual event in Tokyo.

Four people have been arrested after an assault in Parkhill. On Sunday morning OPP tell us they responded to reports of an altercation on Main Street where six males were involved. One male was seen with a knife and a second male holding a pistol. Two victims attempted to flee the area on foot but one was assaulted and struck in the head with the firearm. The suspects fled the scene in a Volkswagen only to be found by Police a short time later and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to stop for police and fled the area. Later the vehicle was found in the City of London and Police were able to recover a Glock 17 Pellet gun that was thrown from the vehicle as well as a knife and a quantity of illegal drugs from the involved parties.
