A traffic stop by Halbrite involving Weyburn CTSS resulted in two individuals facing numerous charges, including possession of a controlled substance, breach of release conditions, impaired operation of a conveyance, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Through investigation the two individuals were also charged with arson relating to recent residential fire deliberately set on the east side of the City. The pair have been released from custody with numerous conditions and an upcoming court appearance. On Dec 15th, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 39 and 3
rd Street South. A southbound vehicle went through a red light and struck an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the southbound vehicle was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for disobeying a red light.
