WINDSOR, ONT. Essex County OPP arrested four people after seizing suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and fentanyl in Leamington. The OPP Essex County Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant at an address on Fox Street on Tuesday. Drug paraphernalia along with cash was also located and seized. The following four people are facing these charges: Thiago Sousa, 32, of Leamington: Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) (3 counts) Fail to comply with release order - Criminal Code of Canada (C.C.) (4 counts) Trisha Sauve, 35, of Leamington: Possession for the purpose of trafficking - CDSA (3 counts)
WINDSOR, ONT. Essex County OPP say they have charged two people after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a stolen vehicle. An officer on patrol on Erie Street South in Leamington conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act offence on Jan. 11 around 7:10 p.m. Police say investigation of the vehicle and occupants found that it had been reported stolen with Waterloo Regional Police Service in December 2020. The driver and passenger were arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. Further investigation found a quantity of cannabis within the vehicle, according to police. WINDSOR, ONT. Five people are facing charges after police seized cocaine and cannabis in Leamington. The OPP Essex County Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (POIB) conducted the drug trafficking investigation. On Thursday, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant was executed at an address on Fox Street. As a result, a quantity of illicit drugs and cannabis was seized valued at over $28,000.
