SIX NATIONS OF THE GRAND-A 21-year-old Ohsweken man is facing drug charges after police received reports of a suspicious vehicle on Second Line early Thursday April 22, 2021, at 12:24 a.m..
Police found a silver 2008 BMW parked at the end of a lane way running with its headlights on as police approached the driver’s door. A man was seen slumped over the steering wheel, with an open can of beer in the middle console. Police were waking the man up when they detected an odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech, and blood shot eyes. The man also appeared to be confused and the vehicle was still in drive.

Prince George’s fourth homicide of the year is being investigated by the RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m. yesterday (Thursday), police received information from staff at University Hospital a man was in the emergency room with traumatic injuries.
However, the victim did not survive and the matter is being treated as a homicide.
“Preliminary information indicates that prior to arrival at the hospital the male was associated to a residence on the 900 block of Carney Street. Police are familiar with this residence as it was the subject of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant executed by the Street Crew Unit in March of this year. As such, investigators believe this was a targeted attack and there is currently no risk to the public,” stated Cst. Jennifer Cooper.
