Officers also responded to a call involving an adult male who was reportedly brandishing a firearm near a downtown business. The male, who was immediately located and arrested, faces numerous charges including possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and fentanyl), and fail to comply with a probation order. The male was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. On Thursday, police observed a dirt bike being operated within the city near 16 th Street and Eaglesham Avenue. A traffic stop was attempted but the operator of the blue and white dirt bike ignored the signal to stop and fled from the officer. Any witnesses, or anyone with information regarding this matter, is asked to call the Weyburn Police Service.
