The pandemic also led to the introduction of the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Covid-19 Response’ award, which was clinched by BDP – the designers behind the first Nightingale hospital in London. Other award winners included the London illuminated river project, the Trafford Park Line in Manchester and a sustainable footbridge in Leeds.
