Survey for proposed US-56 expressway at Great Bend to begin The Hutchinson News GREAT BEND  A field survey for building a proposed four-lane expressway from the east side of Great Bend will start around Monday. The proposed expressway would be from the east city limits of Great Bend (Kiowa Road) to the K-156/K-96 highway junction. The approximate length of the survey is 2.3 miles, and the survey will be based on the existing alignment. This project is in the development phase, with no project scheduled at this point. The survey, to collect information for detailed design of the proposed improvement, is estimated to be completed by May 1.

Survey to begin on U.S. 54 in Kingman County The Hutchinson News Starting around Jan. 4, a field survey will start in Kingman County for design of proposed pavement replacement of U.S. 54 and interchange ramps. The proposed improvement would be from the U.S. 54/K-14 east junction east to the Kingman/Sedgwick county line. The approximate length of the survey, which will be based on existing alignment, is 7.1 miles. The survey is estimated to be completed by May 15. The survey will be contained within existing right of way, and the consultant will contact property owners and/or tenants for permission to enter private property upon entry. Survey activities will include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the survey corridor.

Survey work to begin in Clark County | Western Kansas News

Kansas Department of Transportation Survey work for proposed bridge replacements in Clark County is expected to begin Monday, Dec. 14, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The areas being surveyed include three U.S. 160 bridges – two bridges over Bluff Creek Drainage approximately five miles east of the U.S. 183/160 junction, and one bridge over Day Creek Drainage located approximately two miles west of the U.S. 183/160 junction. The length of each survey is 2000 feet. The surveys are expected to be completed by Feb. 1, 2021. Chad Marsh, P.S., Survey Project Manager, Kirkham Michael will lead this survey for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
