PHOTO: File LAHORE: Punjab Police has started compiling the data of serial pedophile convicts and so far the record of at least 9,760 child sexual abuse offenders has been saved. According to officials concerned, special software has been developed for the purpose. The data includes details like Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), family tree, area and bank account information. Once a person included in the list makes any transaction, an SMS will be sent to the police station concerned. If a person in the list living as a tenant changes his place of residence, the police station concerned of his next residence will also be alerted about it.

DRAP to hold training on reporting of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events   Published On DRAP to hold training on reporting of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan’s (DRAP) Pakistan National Pharmacovigilance Centre (PNPC) in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) have planned to arrange a day-long training on ‘reporting of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events’ here on Monday. This training session is being arranged for capacity building of focal persons on adverse events following Corona vaccine from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). In Pakistan three Corona vaccines have been given emergency permission and for which 582 emergency vaccination centers have been established. In these centers physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other paramedics will be vaccinated.

Comprehensive strategy to administer coronavirus vaccine across country was unveiled at NCOC meeting ISLAMABAD: The Covid-19 vaccination drive will start in the country next week, Planning Minister Asad Umar said on Wednesday, as the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) unveils a comprehensive plan to administer the vaccine. The NCOC – which serves as the nerve centre of the government’s unified effort to contain the coronavirus pandemic – said that the vaccination plan had been developed keeping in view the best global principles and health guidelines. Asad Umar, who heads the NCOC, said on microblogging website, Twitter, the frontline health workers would be among the first recipients of the vaccine. “God willing, the vaccination of frontline health workers will start next week,” the minister tweeted.
