The school system’s goal is to complete all vaccination requests by April 1. Last month, district officials laid out a plan to become a vaccination site that includes creating a drive-thru clinic at the Learning and Support Center. School nurses with support from Emergency Medial Services will administer the vaccine. “Starting with the outstanding commitment from our school nurses, the confidence in providing our employees with exceptional medical care has set our district apart from all others,” said Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis said in a release. “Our Vaccination Strategy Team has literally worked around the clock to make this opportunity a reality for our district in order to ensure our educators could take advantage of this health and safety measure to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”
