Boy kills grandpa for confiscating handphone

A TEENAGER from China’s Jiangxi province killed his grandfather in a fit of rage after his mobile phone was confiscated, China Press reported. According to the report, the 14-year-old had ignored his grandfather despite being repeatedly told to eat his dinner. So he took the teenager’s phone away and chided him for spending too much time on it. The teenager got angry and ended up killing his grandfather. He was arrested by police who arrived at the scene after receiving a report. Details of how the grandfather was killed were not revealed publicly. > The daily also reported that a mother from China’s Shanxi province was shocked to find 29 puncture holes on her daughter’s four limbs after the child claimed her kindergarten teacher had given her multiple “injections”.

Covid-19 remote cure via spells debunked

Datuk Tuan Asmawi Tuan Umar dismissed the words of a man who claimed he could remotely cure thousands of patients by reciting some spells. “His claims are unfounded and I’m doubtful that he has cured thousands, ” he said. Tuan Asmawi was responding to a recent report of a man charging unsuspecting patients RM100, claiming that he could cure Covid-19 just by reciting spells via phone. The man is said to have duped two foreign workers.

Wani now more matured to handle criticism

SINGER and actress Wani Kayrie ( pic) once closed her social media account after receiving painful comments, reported Harian Metro. The 21-year-old, whose real name is Syazwani Abdullah, said she is more mature now and is able to manage her emotions against attacks and criticisms. “I won’t deny that I had previously closed my TikTok account when I was very depressed and not strong emotionally, ” she added. Wani said she was criticised for how she danced and her thick make-up that had sparked controversy. Wani, who appears as Fatin in TV3’s Melastik Ke Hatimu, said while some might dislike her character in the drama series, she would not be bothered by further harsh remarks or criticisms.
