Taking note of comments on social media about damaged roads and potholes, Datuk Mohamad Zulkefly Sulaiman (
pic) said it practised a “no wrong door policy”, adding that there were 11 channels where the public could direct their complaints.
“Regardless of whether it is a federal, state or council road, each complaint will be channelled to the relevant party for immediate action, ” said Zulkefly on the department’s Facebook page on Monday.
“We accept all suggestions and constructive criticisms for improvements to be made, ” he said, thanking the JKR district engineers and its social media administrators for their responsiveness towards complaints.
He also thanked netizens and JKR’s strategic partner RakanKKR for providing information on roads.

I believe the commentators are making a kneejerk reaction and fail to understand the gravity and importance of what Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has achieved, and what this episode should teach us mere ‘pembayar cukai’ (taxpayers), who inhabit and struggle in this magical kingdom.
As has been handed down by oral tradition for centuries, to choose to travel on a Malaysian public road on a bicycle is not to be undertaken lightly, and requires a feat of singular courage and endurance.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 The Works Ministry, through the Public Works Department (PWD), will conduct pothole repairs through the “Aku Janji Zero Potholes” campaign that was reintroduced last July.
The ministry, in a statement, said that the previous campaign that ran from 2016 to 2018, aimed to strengthen the ministry’s commitment towards the maintenance of roads in the country.
