New feature on MySejahtera for pregnant, breastfeeding women soon

There will be a new feature coming to the MySejahtera app, which will let pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers identify themselves as such so that they can be given appointments only for the vaccines recommended for them.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin also advised pregnant women to consult their own doctors before deciding on whether to get vaccinated or not.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 The direct supply of Covid-19 vaccines to states by interested sponsors does not have to go through the federal government, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.
He clarified that vaccine supplies through Putrajaya is just one of the options available, and that state governments could source their own as long as they are approved by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 A new feature would be launched under the MySejahtera application that will enable pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to register for Covid-19 vaccination, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Xinhua) Malaysia on Tuesday reported 7,289 new COVID-19 infections in the highest daily spike since the outbreak, bringing the national total to 525,889, the health ministry said.
Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press statement that four of the new cases were imported and 7,285 were local transmissions.
Another 60 deaths were also reported, pushing the total deaths to 2,369.
Some 3,789 more patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total cured and discharged to 460,062, or 87.5 percent of all cases.
Of the remaining 63,458 active cases, 726 are being held in intensive care units and 373 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
