Qatar Airways Cargo joins Validaide as a Premium Member
Qatar Airways Cargo has joined Validaide Capabilities Platform as a premium member.
Through the membership, the cargo carrier is able to digitally manage and share its station capabilities for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
Customers will be able to easily review the airline’s pharma handling capabilities at all the airports throughout its extensive network.
Qatar Airways Cargo has also joined the Advisory Board of Validaide which allows it to contribute to further developments to the platform and customise its features to benefit the end user. Qatar Airways Cargo and Validaide both pursue digitalisation projects within the broader air cargo industry.

Qatar Airways appoints ECS Group
As of February 21, ECS Group, the leading GSSA, with its established presence in the region and strong partnership with the airline in over 20 countries, is supervising the management of cargo capacity via its subsidiary Globe Air Cargo.
Qatar Airways operates fourteen weekly flights from Dubai and daily flights from Abu Dhabi. In preparation for this much awaited recommencement of cargo sales and bookings in the United Arab Emirates, ECS has bolstered its local teams, with a dedicated team supervising the scheduled flights seven days a week.

Qatar signs UNICEF pandemic deal
Qatar Airways Cargo, the freight division of Qatar Airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UNICEF for a five-year period to support UNICEF’s Humanitarian Airfreight Initiative. Through this initiative, Qatar Airways Cargo will work closely with UNICEF and its freight forwarders to prioritise the transport of vaccines, medicines, medical devices and critical supplies utilising its extensive global network and capacity.
Through its QR Pharrma product, Qatar Airways Cargo will offer controlled cool chain and dedicated monitoring, intervention and servicing as well as proactive re-icing at its Doha hub when required and will also adjust and increase its cold chain capacity to meet UNICEF’s forecasted requirements.
Air Belgium Takes Its Second Ex-Qatar Airbus A330 Freighter

Air Belgium has taken delivery of the second A330F from Qatar Airways Cargo. The five-year-old aircraft, now registered OO-AIR, arrived in Brussels yesterday morning. It’s now headed off to Dublin for a repaint, alongside its sister aircraft OO-CMA. Air Belgium is expected to take another two ex-Qatar A330F in the coming weeks.

Air Belgium is doubling down on its commitment to cargo with the arrival of a second A330-200F. Qatar Airways’ old A330 registered A7-AFJ has been given a new registration for the Belgian airline, and arrived in Brussels yesterday morning.
