It shouldn’t concern any of us if any party other than the Liberals are spending their own campaign money on an unannounced election, but it should concern us that the party with access to the government jet and cheque book, as they say, is campaigning. The scuttlebutt these days is an Aug. 9 announcement, to give us something else to think about while the American tourists we have missed over the past 18 months bring their money across the border.
