This Corvette C7.R chassis was the third manufactured by Pratt & Miller after the race car’s debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The team raced the car for two full seasons in the IMSA GTLM class and is the same chassis that Antonio Garcia, Jan Magnussen and Ryan Briscoe took victory in at the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring in 2015. This is also the car that won its class at Long Beach, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in 2014 and was brought over to France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 2014 and 2015.

Dick Bradbeer, vice-president of marketing for Labatt back in the early 1970s when it held the rights to promote Formula One racing in Canada;
Jeremy Hinchcliffe, father of IndyCar racing star James Hinchcliffe and a racer in his own right; and
Frank Orr of the Toronto Star who wrote hockey in the winter and auto racing in the summer in the 1960s and ‘70s.

General Motors pretty much gave it all it had in the warmup to Monday night’s unveiling of the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing.
It kicked things off last week with an online media reveal of the four-door cars that was conducted by members of the engineering and design staffs. During the discussion, several mentions were made of Cadillac’s dominance in recent years of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the first of sports car racing’s three big events, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans being the others.
